The Gorilla line is the same coffee wood as WINVN INT’s stick range, cut short and thick instead of long and slender. Four sizes, S to XL, 8–16 cm long, from 155 g to 1.1 kg a piece. It exists for one customer complaint: a dog that goes through an XXL stick in a weekend.

What “Gorilla” means on a coffee wood chew
It is a size description the pet trade settled on, not a shape anyone owns. A Gorilla chew is a thick block of coffee wood sold whole, as against a stick. Different suppliers cut them to different dimensions, so the word on its own tells you nothing useful about what will arrive. The numbers do.
WINVN INT’s four are cut from the same Robusta coffee wood as everything else on this site, from Vietnamese highland plots at twenty years and older. They share the same drying, the same moisture rule, the same five quality checkpoints between the raw log and the sealed carton.
The four sizes
Sizes S to XL, 8–16 cm long, 155 g – 1.1 kg a piece. Sizes are natural and vary slightly piece to piece.
| SKU | Pieces per carton |
|---|---|
| GRLS | 60 |
| GRLM | 52 |
| GRLL | 52 |
| GRLXL | on request |
Carton size is 51 × 31 × 39 cm, the same box the stick line ships in.
Coffee wood is a natural material and a block is not a machined part. WINVN INT does not publish a millimetre tolerance on the Gorilla line, because a block cut from a trunk does not hold one and claiming otherwise would be a claim you could disprove on arrival.
Why diameter is the number that matters
A wood chew stops working when a dog gets a molar around it and levers rather than gnaws. What decides that is not length or weight but how far across the piece is at its thickest. That is the whole design difference between a stick and a Gorilla: WINVN INT’s XXL stick is 22–23 cm long but only 5.5–8 cm across, while a Gorilla is shorter and thicker.
Choosing between the four
Chewing style decides this more than the dog’s weight does. Two Labradors of the same size will destroy chews at completely different rates, which is why a table of breeds against sizes is more comforting than it is accurate.
The useful question is what the dog does to what it already has. A dog that works a stick down over a fortnight does not need this line at all — sell it the stick, it is cheaper for your customer and the margin is easier. The Gorilla line is for the return customer who tells you the last one lasted a weekend. GRLL is the cheaper way to find out whether your customers want this at all before you commit to GRLXL.
WINVN INT will give you a dog-weight recommendation for each of the four sizes on request. It is deliberately not printed here, because a recommendation on a web page gets copied onto a retail listing and then it is your shop that has published it.
Ordering
- Minimum order: 50 pcs per product — sizes can be mixed. Products with your own printed label use the same MOQ.
- Samples: 3 free samples per customer. You cover the shipping cost, which can be credited against your first qualifying production order. Our sales team confirms the details.
- Laser engraving: available from 50 pcs, charged separately, as on the stick line. The flat face on a block takes a mark better than the curve of a stick does.
- Lead time and pricing: quoted against your sizes and destination. The Gorilla sizes consume much more raw material per piece than the sticks do, so per-piece price does not scale from a stick quotation.
What to ask any supplier about a thick-cut chew
Four questions, and the answers are comparable across suppliers in a way that photographs are not.
- What does one piece weigh, and what is the spread? A single average with no range means nobody is weighing them.
- What is the finished moisture, and is it measured per batch or per container? A thick block dries far more slowly through the middle than a stick does, so the moisture figure matters more here, not less. WINVN INT measures below 14% at the factory, then vacuum-packs the chews to hold that level.
- What does a packed carton weigh? Ask for the number, then multiply the piece weight by the count yourself and see whether the two agree.
- What is rejected, and roughly what share? A supplier who has never had to answer this will say the share is small.
WINVN INT can send a certificate of origin, a phytosanitary certificate showing the botanical name, a fumigation certificate and a packing specification, with buyer details redacted. That is a claim worth checking rather than believing, which is the point of asking.
Questions buyers ask
What is a Gorilla coffee wood chew?
A thick block of coffee wood sold whole, rather than a stick. WINVN INT makes four sizes, S to XL, 8–16 cm long, 155 g – 1.1 kg a piece. The material, the drying and the quality checks are the same as the stick line — only the cut is different.
Which Gorilla size should I list first?
GRLL is the sensible first test if you are not sure the demand is there. GRLL costs less to sample, so a starting order is simpler. Move to GRLXL once customers come back to say GRLL went too fast.
What is the minimum order for the Gorilla line?
50 pcs per product — sizes can be mixed. Products with your own printed label use the same MOQ. 3 free samples per customer. You cover the shipping cost, which can be credited against your first qualifying production order. Our sales team confirms the details.
Which dog weight is each Gorilla size for?
WINVN INT gives a recommendation for each size on request rather than printing one here, because chewing style decides it more than body weight does. Two dogs of the same weight can destroy chews at completely different rates, and a recommendation published on a web page ends up copied onto a retail listing where it becomes the retailer's claim.
