FBA-ready coffee wood dog chews, packed to your spec and labelled from your files

Auf Deutsch: Kaffeeholz-Kausnacks im Großhandel: was ein Einkäufer vom Hersteller verlangen sollte — die deutschsprachige Übersicht für Großhändler, keine Übersetzung dieser Seite.

Most of what goes wrong with a wood chew shipment into Amazon is not the wood. It is a freight quote built on the wrong pieces-per-carton figure, or a launch date promised without counting the artwork approval. This page has the numbers for both.

Vacuum-sealed coffee wood dog chews being packed into a master carton
Retail-ready packing: each piece vacuum-sealed, then laid into the master carton. Retail sets take more room than loose packing, so the pieces-per-carton figure drops — which is why the two packing modes have separate tables on the specification page rather than one average.

The number that ruins a freight quote

The same stick fits a carton in two very different quantities depending on how it is packed. Bulk means the pieces go into the carton with nothing between them. Retail means each piece or set carries its own printed sleeve or label, which takes space.

Multi-packs change it again. A pack of two in size M is 92 sets to a carton, which is 184 pieces; a pack of three is 52 sets, or 156 pieces. Ask for the count on your configuration before you put a number on a proforma invoice.

What the cartons actually look like

Buyers ask for this more than for the product photos, so here it is without the styling: the carton, the mark, the pallet, the container. Every photo below is from a WINVN INT order, taken in our own warehouse.

Shipping marks printed on a WINVN INT master carton: size, quantity, gross weight, carton number, made in Vietnam
Shipping marks are printed on every master carton — size, quantity, gross weight, carton number, country of origin. This is the panel a freight forwarder and an FBA receiving desk read first.

Close up of the same panel. Size and Qty are left blank in the print and filled in per order, so one carton design covers every size in your PO.
WINVN INT master cartons stacked on a pallet in the warehouse
Cartons palletised in the warehouse. Pallet build is agreed before packing — a pallet for an FBA appointment and a pallet for LCL are not stacked the same way.

WINVN INT cartons stacked inside a shipping container during loading
The same cartons inside the container. Every carton is numbered against the packing list, so a short-landed pallet can still be reconciled.

Wrapped, strapped and waiting for the truck. Wrap and strapping spec is part of the quote, not an afterthought.

Pallet height checked against the container door before loading. A pallet five centimetres too tall costs a full day.

A retail pack with a printed label. On private-label orders the artwork, barcode and warning text are yours — printed on the sleeve, not stuck on at a prep centre.

A display-crate concept built for buyers who sell coffee wood at retail and at trade shows. Shown as a design direction, not a stock item.
A pin-type moisture meter reading 10.5 per cent in a finished coffee wood dog chew
A pin meter reading 10.5 % in a finished piece on the packing bench. One reading is one piece at one moment. Mold claims at an Amazon warehouse are decided by what the wood was carrying when it left, not by what it looked like.

The risk that shows up three months later

A wood chew that arrives fine can still fail you. Units sit in a fulfilment centre for weeks or months, and wood that went into the carton wet does not stay quiet. Moisture is the number that decides whether that happens, and it is the only figure on this page that is a risk rather than a dimension.

The same mechanism that ruins a container ruins a pallet in a fulfilment centre: not water in the wood, but water in the air around it. Moisture, condensation and what a meter reading proves sets out how to tell the two apart, and what to photograph if a shipment does arrive marked.

WINVN INT measures moisture at the factory below 14%, then vacuum-packs the chews to hold that level through sea freight and storage.

How a first order works

  1. Your brand on the productLaser-engraved logo, kraft or ivory packaging, packed into sets. Printing, engraving and set packing are charged separately.
  2. Packed to your carton specWe pack and carton the goods to the specification you give us. Amazon goods are packed to Amazon’s format.
  3. Barcodes and labels from your filesYou create the barcodes and send the files. We print them and apply them.
  4. Export documentsPacking list, commercial invoice and bill of lading or air waybill for every shipment, plus phytosanitary, fumigation or Certificate of Origin when your market requires them.
  5. Shipped to the Amazon warehouse you nameGoods go straight to the Amazon warehouse address you give us. What happens at receiving is Amazon’s decision.

A WINVN INT worker checking a labelled master carton against the packing list before loading
Cartons checked against the packing list before they go into the container. FBA labels are applied here rather than at a third-party prep centre, which removes one handover — but confirming the current Amazon inbound specification for your marketplace remains the seller’s job, not the supplier’s.

Your brand on the product

  • Laser engraving on the wood — available from 50 pcs, charged separately. The mark is burned into the surface. Nothing is added to the material.
  • Retail packaging — ivory board or unbleached kraft with your own printing. Paper and card, no plastic window, no laminate.
  • Labels — WINVN INT packs and labels to the inbound specification you send in writing. Send the spec, not a description of it.

There is a longer page on what WINVN INT will and will not print for you, including the claims that get a listing pulled: private label coffee wood dog chews.

Where coffee wood is the wrong SKU for an FBA seller

  • You need identical units for your listing photography. Colour, grain and density vary between lots because the trees vary. If a customer comparing the product to the photo is a returns problem for you, natural wood will annoy you.
  • Your buyer is a destructive chewer. A dog that goes through a hard chew in twenty minutes goes through coffee wood too. Size up, or stock something else for that customer.
  • You want a health claim on the pack. WINVN INT will not supply one. Under Article 13 of Regulation (EC) 767/2009 in the EU you should not print one either, and on Amazon a dental or health claim on a chew is a listing risk in any marketplace.
  • You need FLEGT-licensed timber for a compliance programme. Of the fifteen countries that signed a Voluntary Partnership Agreement with the European Union, only Indonesia has a licensing scheme actually running. Vietnam signed one and its scheme is not operating yet.

What to send to get a real quote

  1. Sizes and the pack configuration — single, pack of two, pack of three.
  2. Bulk or retail-packed, because that decides the carton count.
  3. Destination port or fulfilment centre, and whether you want EXW, FOB, CIF or DAP.
  4. Whether the order carries your own label, box or engraving, and roughly when you need it to land.

A proforma comes back with the carton count worked out for your combination rather than a generic one. Full figures for every size are on the wholesale specifications page, and which documents travel with a shipment, and when, are set out in the EU import guide.

Questions buyers ask

How many coffee wood chews fit in one carton for Amazon inbound?

It depends on whether the pieces are retail-packed or bulk. Size M is 120 pieces to a carton once each one carries its own printed sleeve or label. The master carton is 51 x 31 x 39 cm in both cases.

What is the minimum order for an Amazon seller testing a listing?

50 pcs per product — sizes can be mixed. Products with your own printed label or engraving use the same MOQ.

How long from order to a shipment landing at a fulfilment centre?

Plain goods: 50–200 pcs in 8–10 days, 200–1,000 pcs in 10–15 days, 1,000–5,000 pcs in 25–27 days, one 20 ft container in 30–45 days, not including sampling and transit. Our sales team confirms per order. For an order with your own label, box or laser engraving, send us your files and our sales team will confirm the timeline for your order.

Does moisture matter for units sitting in a fulfilment centre?

Yes, and it is the risk that shows up months later rather than on arrival. Moisture is measured at the factory below 14%, then the chews are vacuum-packed to hold that level through sea freight and storage.
